Aggression

Aggression is a tactic that numerous players utilize when playing poker, especially Texas Hold'em!

This usually means that when a player is dealt a poor hand they raise the money before the flop has even been shown! This means that you force many players into folding and leaves a few amount of players in because they think you have a strong hand.

Then when the Flop is dealt you still do not have a good hand but you make another bet knowing that the other player is a tight player who only bets when he has the best hand. Normally, this type of person will fold and the person who did not even have a good hand wins just because he was aggressive.

It is important to remember that in Texas Hold'em you do need to have the best hand you just need to convince the other players that you do! Thus, using the aggression tactic could benefit you greatly!
